Standing Together at “Voices of Our Warriors”
We were proud to represent Wenty Leagues at Youth Off the Streets’ (YOTS) powerful Voices of Our Warriors event, held in support of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.
Led by the inspiring Kylie Sharp, Education DFSV Prevention and Support Team Lead at YOTS, the event brought together students and staff from across YOTS schools to raise awareness, strengthen community connections, and amplify young people’s voices in advocating against domestic and family violence.
The day began with a school-wide awareness walk, where students visited interactive information stands offering essential resources, practical tools, and guidance to help recognise, respond to, and seek support for domestic and family violence.
This was followed by a series of powerful student performances, each highlighting the strength, resilience, and lived experiences of young people affected by, or standing against, violence. Their courage and creativity served as a compelling reminder of the importance of awareness, advocacy, and collective action.
We were honoured to stand alongside Youth Off the Streets and our broader community in supporting initiatives that empower young people, foster safety, and inspire meaningful change.
