Teddies for Little Wings Brings Comfort to Young Patients

We proudly delivered more than 50 handmade trauma teddies from the Karabi Knitting Group to support Little Wings. These teddies help comfort children travelling to important medical appointments at Westmead Children’s Hospital. They also help reduce the stress and anxiety that often come with long travel and hospital visits.

For many children, these soft companions mean more than just toys. They provide reassurance and a sense of familiarity during difficult journeys. Families have shared their gratitude and appreciation. Many parents say the teddies help their children feel calmer during travel and treatment.

The initiative of donating teddies for little wings patients highlights the difference small acts of kindness can make. The Karabi Knitting Group, Little Wings and Wenty Leagues worked together to support families in need. Their partnership shows the power of community collaboration.

Through programs like this, we continue to support children and families across New South Wales. More importantly, these efforts remind families that they are not alone. Care, compassion and community support extend far beyond the hospital walls.
