Supporting Conversations That Matter This R U OK? Day

We’re encouraging our members, staff and wider community to check in with one another this R U OK? Day, reinforcing the importance of connection, conversation and looking out for those around us.

R U OK? Day provides an important opportunity to remind people that a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference. Asking someone “Are you OK?” and taking the time to genuinely listen can help strengthen connections and let people know they are not alone.

Throughout the workplace, staff are encouraged to look out for their colleagues, take the time to check in and create opportunities for genuine conversations. For members, we aim to provide a welcoming community environment where people can connect with others and feel a sense of belonging.

R U OK? Day is a great reminder that looking out for each other doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, simply asking how someone is going and taking the time to listen can make all the difference.

Whether it’s a colleague, a friend, a family member or someone we see regularly in our community, taking a moment to check in can help strengthen the connections that are so important to our wellbeing.

We encourage everyone to make checking in part of their everyday conversations, not just on R U OK? Day.

Ask. Listen. Check in.
