Grandparents Day: Bringing Generations Together

On the 10th of October we celebrated grandparents and grandparent figures with a special Grandparents Morning Tea, recognising the vital role they play in the lives of children and families.

Held in the beautiful Alfresco area, families enjoyed a sunny morning filled with sweet treats, creative fun, and treasured moments. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged everyone to linger, chat, and simply enjoy being together.

The highlight of the morning was a Mug Decorating activity, where children and their grandparents worked side by side to create personalised mugs—keepsakes to take home and cherish.

Grandparents, whether connected by blood or bonded by love, play a crucial role in a child’s life—offering guidance, support, and unconditional affection. This morning was our way of saying thank you for the immeasurable impact they have on families and the community.

We finished the morning with hugs, proudly decorated mugs, and a shared sense of appreciation that will linger long after the event.
