Supporting a Powerful Homelessness Awareness Event with Parramatta Mission

We were proud to support the return of a powerful community event aimed at raising awareness of homelessness and social inequality, A Place at the Table—hosted by our partners at Parramatta Mission. As a foundation Diamond partner, we contributed both financially and in-kind, coordinating and supplying food, event materials, and chefs to help ensure the event ran smoothly.

Held at the Parramatta Mission dining hall, the event welcomed 100 guests. In a thought-provoking experience, only 15 attendees were randomly selected to enjoy a three-course meal, while the remaining 85 were served a simple bowl of soup—offering a meaningful glimpse into the stark realities faced by many in our community who experience homelessness or vulnerability.

To reinforce the message that everyone deserves a place at the table, all guests shared the same dessert, symbolising the importance of equality and shared humanity.

Each year, this event continues to grow in significance, offering a powerful platform for reflection and discussion. More than just symbolic, A Place at the Table shines a light on the incredible work of Parramatta Mission’s dedicated staff and volunteers, who tirelessly support those doing it tough across Western Sydney.

Our involvement in this initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to community support. It’s incredibly meaningful for us to stand alongside Parramatta Mission at events like this—ones that don’t just raise awareness, but also inspire compassion and action.

As demand for support services continues to rise, we believe events like A Place at the Table are more vital than ever in fostering understanding, connection, and hope.
