Upgrades for the Girl Guides

by Luke Fuller | Jun 08,2013

The Toongabbie Girl Guides recently undertook emergency upgrades to

their hall with an $11,775 grant from Wenty Leagues.

The funds were used to alleviate the growing concerns of parents and

their daughters by upgrading the electrical wiring, power and plumbing

for the hall. The hall was originally built in 1964 with this being the first

major upgrade to electrical and plumbing work in almost 50 years.

The new electrical circuit means that the Girl Guides can now use their

kitchen appliances and consider getting an air conditioning unit without

experiencing a power outage. New plumbing also means the Guides

can upgrade their bathroom in the near future which is an estimated

$10,000 renovation.
