Supporting Survivors – Packing Escape Bags with Escabags

On Tuesday 25 March , our Wenty Leagues team traveled to Wollongong to take part in a meaningful event with our community partner, Escabags. Together, we packed essential “Escape Bags” to support victim-survivors of domestic and family violence, ensuring they have the necessary supplies for their first 24 hours after leaving an unsafe situation.

These vital bags are distributed to stockists nationwide, offering immediate relief and support to those in need. Our team packed both non-gender-specific adult bags and adult-child versions, each thoughtfully prepared to provide comfort and care.

During lunch, we had the privilege of hearing from Escabags CEO and Founder, Stacy Jane, who shared her powerful personal story of escaping abuse. Her inspiring words reinforced the mission behind Escabags and deepened our understanding of the importance of these resources. The day left us with a profound sense of gratitude and purpose, highlighting the crucial role Escabags plays in providing hope, safety, and support at such a critical time.
