Boys to Men Building Projectby Christopher Baluyot | Nov 20,2014
Wenty Leagues is proud to have funded the unique Greystanes High School Boys
to Men program that has helped retain boys who were in danger of slipping out of
the school system.
With a grant of $16,615, Greystanes High was able to help a group of fifteen boys work
on their physical and mental wellbeing to build fitness and resilience.
With guidance from the Program Coordinator and the support of teaching staff,
the boys were able to create, plan and build an outdoor learning timber deck for the
school to use. Working on the deck reinvigorated the boys’ interest in continuing their
education and provided useful work and life skills to help them get jobs.
The deck was officially opened on Monday 20 October.
