Wenty Leagues Swimming Club swims at the heated pool in
Dunmore St Wentworthville (just off the Cumberland H’way)
on Sunday mornings from October to March.
We cater for members of Wenty Leagues of all swimming
levels, standards, shapes and sizes for ages from 18 to 98.
Children over 15 can become members if accompanied by
their parents. Each Sunday we compete in various events
from 25m to 200m and all form strokes. We invite
members to swim in one or many events for the weekly
point scores. Championships for age groups and levels are
conducted at the end of our season.
Our races are conducted on a nominated time basis.
Swimmers nominate the time they will swim and the aim is
to swim as close as possible to that nominated time. We
swim in many carnivals throughout the whole year and
these are also conducted on that basis. This means that
you can be as competitive as you like or just swim socially
and to keep fit. We are affiliated with both RSL and
Leagues clubs and members are encouraged to attend
as many events as they wish.
Every Sunday we finish the swim with a cuppa and a chat
and also have a few BBQs through the season. Most of
the carnivals we attend are followed by a social function
where we get together with old and new friends. We also
arrange mid season and off season trips around Sydney
and the state.
So for a bit of fun and fitness come on down and have a
splash with us. This is great for those of you who have
finished your sporting competitions for the year. As well
as for those who want a bit of variation during their current
season.
